Cartoons, Mitra made her debut as a cartoonist in 1984, and since then her works have been published mainly in the Italian press. In 1995, a selection of her cartoons was exhibited in a well received solo show in Ravello, Italy. In the catalogue text, Duccio Trombadori wrote:
…Through their elegant irony, cool humour, and the composed surreal aplomb with which they are portrayed, Mitra’s whimsical narratives do not culminate in the customary cynicism of satire. On the contrary, a melancholy little spirit wanders through them, observing fragments of life, tracing their outlines, and joining them together with the grace of a poetic melody.

Colour cartoons were published in various Italian magazines from 1995 0n.
Hubble Bubble was a series of comic strips where dark humour and nonsense met.
First published in International Courier (Rome, Italy) in 1985.
Fifty strips are collected in Hubble Bubble, a privately published book available on demand.
